Jacy Elle Taylor’s love of creative production emerged in high school, when she was assigned to build a 7-foot tank out of cardboard, egg cartons, and duct tape. She continued to explore every avenue of artistry, following her lifelong interest in filmmaking. While pursuing a B.A. in Media Studies at Brigham Young University, she discovered an intersection between studying film theories and building film props.
Realizing her education was unfinished, she searched for a graduate program with props as the focus. She found a home at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts in the School of Design and Production. Her love for set decorating influenced her graduate thesis project to decorate and photograph Walter Wick I Spy-style vignettes. She graduated with a Master’s of Fine Arts in Stage Properties.
For the past 5 years, she has been mastering multiple roles at the Bentonville Photo Studio, currently under Walmart Creative. Jacy’s knowledge to effectively and purposefully run creative projects successed 100% of the time. Her clear communication and creative process have paved the way for her to bigger and more challenging projects. She thrives in creative, collaborative environments and loves making anything that subverts expectations and enhances storytelling.
Currently, Jacy is looking for new opportunities to broaden her visual communication and project management skills in hopes of finding the right fit for her talents and skills in a role in a new city.
In her free time, she loves painting, photography, escape rooms, discussing wild film theories, and baking your favorite cookies.
